मेरे जन्म से ही भाग्य बना था।
इस विचार के कारण वे लोग
अपनी स्थिति को सुधारने के प्रति
कुछ भी सोचने का कष्ट नहीं
करते। अगले जन्म की
आशा में इस जन्म को झेल
रहे हैं।
In my fortune - my fortune was made from birth itself. Due to this thinking, those people do not take the trouble to think anything about improving their situation. They are enduring this life in hope of the next birth.
अछूत भी पूजा-पाठ
के लिए उत्सुक रहते थे। प्रतिदिन
नियम से पूजा-पाठ करने की
कोई बात नहीं मिलती है।
दूसरा कारण तो यही है
उनलोगों में शिक्षा का अभाव है।
तीसरा तो कारण यह भी(?)।
उनलोगों का समय अपना नहीं
वरन् मालिक का था।
मजदूरी लेकर मालिक के
समय में पूजा-पाठ करना
निश्चित रूप से अपराध
ही माना जाता (इससे क्या होगा)।
उन लोगों के पुरोहित
"अछूत पुरोहित" ही होते
थे। "इस प्रयोजन" का भी
Untouchables also remained eager for puja-paath. There is no mention of performing puja-paath daily with regularity. The second reason is this - there is a lack of education among those people. The third reason is also this(?). Their time was not their own but belonged to the master. To perform puja-paath during the master's time while taking wages was definitely considered a crime (what would come of this). Their priests were only "untouchable priests." Of "this purpose" also
