When a laborer's daughter's wedding took place - When a laborer's daughter was getting married, the master or mistress would not go to the wedding. That is, they would not go immediately to the wedding, so before the wedding the girl's wedding procession would be taken. And the master would take them to his master's and other masters' houses. The mistress would give gifts as much as possible. This was called "bilaukī māṅgnā" (asking for viewing/blessing). Before going to the master's place, the wedding procession would be taken to all the deity temples. Only after receiving the blessings of the deities and gifts from the master and mistress would the wedding take place. This custom was prevalent in all castes. The wedding would happen only after visiting Shiv temple, Hanuman temple, Devi temple etc. Even after the wedding, there was a custom that the newlywed couple would go to their master's house.
