हमने देखा है कि विद्वानों ने विभिन्न विषयों पर लिखा है। विशेष रूप से वैदिक साहित्य व समाज के बारे में। किन्तु सभी ने जो विचार व्यक्त किए हैं वे प्रायः एक दूसरे से भिन्न हैं। यह स्वाभाविक भी है क्योंकि हर विद्वान अपने दृष्टिकोण से विषय को देखता है। परन्तु इससे एक समस्या उत्पन्न हो गई है। वह यह है कि सत्य क्या है यह निर्णय करना कठिन हो गया है।

कुछ विद्वानों ने कहा है कि वैदिक समाज में स्त्रियों की स्थिति अच्छी थी। कुछ का मत है कि वह बुरी थी। कुछ कहते हैं कि वर्ण व्यवस्था कठोर नहीं थी जबकि अन्य इसके विपरीत मत रखते हैं। ऐसी स्थिति में सत्य का निर्णय करना कठिन हो जाता है।

इस समस्या के समाधान के लिए यह आवश्यक है कि हम मूल स्रोतों का अध्ययन करें। केवल दूसरों के मत को स्वीकार न करें बल्कि स्वयं विचार करें। तभी हम सत्य के निकट पहुंच सकेंगे।

We have seen that scholars have written on different subjects. Especially about Vedic literature and society. But the views expressed by all are mostly different from each other. This is also natural because every scholar sees the subject from his own perspective. But this has created a problem. That is, it has become difficult to decide what is the truth.

Some scholars have said that the status of women in Vedic society was good. Some believe it was bad. Some say that the caste system was not rigid while others hold the opposite view. In such a situation, it becomes difficult to determine the truth.

To solve this problem, it is necessary that we study the original sources. Not just accept others' opinions but think for ourselves. Only then can we reach close to the truth.
