7. आलोच्य अध्ययन के अधिगम के मूलाधार (Rationale of the approach to be adopted for the study of the problem)

अभी तक कोई वैदिक शब्द कोश ऐसा नहीं है जो लोकभाषा के विकास में हम प्रकार की भूमिका है। इस निष्पादन के कारण अंग्रेजी में लिखे गये ग्रन्थों में वैदिक पारिभाषिक शब्दों का अभाव है। भाषा में अधिकांश ग्रन्थ तथा विभिन्न ग्रन्थों में सामान्य और पारिभाषिक शब्द यदि व्युत्पत्ति और क्रमिक विकास के साथ प्रस्तुत किया जाए तो निश्चित ही जहाँ एक ओर भाषा की दृष्टि से हिन्दी समृद्ध होगी, वहीं दूसरी ओर विषय की दृष्टि से चिन्तन में तुलनात्मक भाषिकी के लिए विशाल आयाम खुलेगा। हमारा लक्ष्य मुख्य रूप से यह है कि भारोपीय सभ्यता-संस्कृति का जो विकास हुआ है उसमें शब्दों की क्या भूमिका है।
Until now, there is no Vedic dictionary that plays such a role in the development of vernacular language. Due to this deficiency, texts written in English lack Vedic technical terms. If general and technical words from most texts in the language and various texts were presented along with their etymology and gradual development, then certainly on one hand Hindi would be enriched from a linguistic perspective, while on the other hand vast dimensions would open up for comparative linguistics in thinking from the subject's perspective. Our main goal is to understand what role words have played in the development of Indo-European civilization and culture.

जिन विभिन्न सन्दर्भों में प्रयोग होता आ रहा है, वास्तव में ये शब्द अपनी लम्बी यात्रा में विभिन्न परिवेशों के अनुसार विकसित होते रहे हैं। किसी जाति की सभ्यता का इतिहास विभिन्न युगों में शब्दों की या भाषा की दृष्टि से देखा जाए तो वह समृद्ध संस्कृति के विशाल इतिहास में केवल मामूली इतिहास नहीं है। एक बृहत्तर कोश के माध्यम से हम उस इतिहास की ओर अग्रसर होना चाहते हैं।
In the various contexts in which they have been used, these words have actually continued to develop according to different environments during their long journey. If the history of any community's civilization is viewed from the perspective of words or language across different eras, then it is not merely a trivial history within the vast history of rich culture. We wish to advance toward that history through a comprehensive dictionary.
