9. Relevance to the present-day problems and needs of the society and the country.)

सामान्य जन के जीवन में विषय के महत्व का वर्णन किया जाय। इस लेकिन उसमें उसकी पूर्ति प्राय: हो नहीं की गई है। यह जिस जन के बीच है उसकी एक विलुप्त होती हुई प्रक्रिया में तेजी से चली जा रही है। इतिहासकारों के लिए अमूल्य सामग्री खो जाएगी। यह भी एक अध्ययन का विषय होगा कि कैसे सैकड़ों वर्ष से अधिक दिनों से एक ही राज्य में रहते हुए भी विभिन्न जातियाँ अपनी अलग-अलग सांस्कृतिक धरोहरों को बनाए रखे हैं। राष्ट्रीय एकता की समस्या के समाधान में भी इस कार्य से बड़ी सहायता मिलेगी। विभिन्न जातियों के बीच सांस्कृतिक एकसूत्रता देखने का इतिहासकार को मौका मिलेगा। इस तरह सामान्य जन का इतिहास एक राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विकसित होगा जिससे देश और राष्ट्र के समग्र विकास की पृष्ठभूमि मिलेगी।

The importance of the subject in the life of common people should be described. But its fulfillment has rarely been done in this. It is rapidly proceeding in a process of becoming extinct among the people it concerns. Invaluable material for historians will be lost. It will also be a subject of study how different castes have maintained their separate cultural heritages despite living in the same state for more than hundreds of years. This work will also provide great help in solving the problem of national unity. Historians will get a chance to see cultural unity among different castes. Thus the history of common people will develop at a national level which will provide a background for the overall development of the country and nation.

10. विषय की सैद्धान्तिक और प्रायोगिक परियोजना की सम्भावित देन (Its likely contribution to the theoretical and practical aspects of the concerned discipline)

इस परियोजना की सबसे बड़ी देन है विलुप्त होती हुई अलिखित परम्परा को लिपिबद्ध कर देना। अभी सामान्य जन के इतिहास के लिए आवश्यक है कि देश के विभिन्न भागों से इस तरह का क्षेत्रीय सामग्री एकत्र किया जाए और सबको मिलाकर किसी राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर चित्रांकन किया जाए। इसके बाद ही सामान्य जन का इतिहास बन सकेगा। प्रस्तावित परियोजना इसमें भारी सहयोग प्रदान करेगी। इस प्रस्तावित परियोजना से एक साथ रहने वाली दर्जनों जातियों में मूलभूत अन्तरों के अध्ययन में राष्ट्रीय एकता की समस्या के विषय में भी जानने की सुविधा मिलेगी तथा उसके समाधान ढूँढने में मदद मिलेगी।#समस्याओं के समाधान की भूमिका निभाएगा।

The biggest contribution of this project is to document the vanishing oral tradition. For the history of common people, it is now necessary that such regional material be collected from different parts of the country and be depicted at some national level by combining everything. Only after this can the history of common people be formed. The proposed project will provide great support in this. Through this proposed project, in studying the fundamental differences among dozens of castes living together, facility will be available to know about the problem of national unity and help will be found in finding its solution. It will play the role of solving problems.

विभिन्न प्रकार के अध्ययन की सम्भावनाएं आगे चल कर उजागर होंगी। बहुत-सारे ऐतिहासिक तथा समाजशास्त्रीय अध्ययन के सामने आएंगे के सामाजिक-आर्थिक-सांस्कृतिक तत्वों की गहन विवेचना भविष्य के अध्ययन की भूमिका निभाएगा।

Various types of study possibilities will emerge going forward. Many historical and sociological studies will come forward. The deep analysis of socio-economic-cultural elements will play the role of future studies.

सामान्य जन के इतिहास के लिए यह प्राथमिक(?) स्रोत की भूमिका निभाएगा।
